ARTIST STATEMENT

” Fueled by unearthing and illuminating un-heard, under-heard, untold, rarely heard, ignored stories, especially of marginalized communities, my work conceives the body as a vector for liberation and healing. Dance is a space of self-transformation and expression, moving beyond words to penetrate the depths of the cellular invisible body. I create socially and politically engaged works that speak to our human conditions. My works aim to stimulate, evoke and provoke individual and collective reflection through the transformative celebration of dance. Dance gives birth to our limitless potential, providing a window of investigation into the fears, questions, desires that hide in our thoughts and spirit. “
